With Thuppakki’s stupendous success, AR Murugadoss has bounced back and is one of India’s most wanted filmmakers today. The prolific filmmaker is moving on to Bollywood once again after a gap of four years (the previous one being blockbuster Ghajini) with the remake of Thuppakki.
And the big news is that, as we wrote earlier, Akshay Kumar will reprise Ilayathalapathy Vijay in the Hindi version.
In an earlier chat with the director, he revealed that originally Thuppakki was planned to be made in Hindi first and Murugadoss even gave a narration to Akki about a year ago.

Since the Rowdy Rathore star was busy with his prior commitments then, ARM decided to start in Tamil with Vijay.
Sources say that Parineeti Chopra would be enacting Kajal Agarwal’s role. Interestingly, Vijay is touted to play an alluring cameo in the Hindi version just like he made a special appearance in Prabhu Deva’s RR. The film is likely to go on floors early next month.
