Kamal Haasan’s RaajKamal Films has today (January 10) made a formal announcement that his ‘Vishwaroopam‘ would hit the screens on January 25.
‘Based on the unstinted support of theatre owners and distributors fraternity, Vishwaroopam will release on 25th of January, 2013, in not less than 500 screens across the State of Tamil Nadu,’ he has said in a statement.
he has also thanked the exhibitors for their understanding and cooperation. ‘I appreciate the exhibitors and distributors brethren for having understood my vision of creating a new revenue stream for the film producing community through DTH’, he said.
kamal has also thanked “each and everyone who stood by me and all those who have extended their support and cooperation in this endeavour”.
Though it was seen as a setback for Viswaroopam when it was postponed the amicable decision has given great relief to the industry as major show down between a senior actor and exhibitors has been averted.
