Hollywood’s visual treat Life of Pi directed by Ang Lee featuring Kollywood beauty Tabu, Suraj Sharma and Irrfan Khan have made headlines again. The nation is celebrating once again as another artist from Kollywood may clinch an award this time at the prestigious 86th Academy Awards popularly known as the Oscars.
Reportedly the movie has been nominated for the Best Picture, Best Direction, Sound Mixing, Film Editing Adapted Screenplay, Production Design, Cinematography, Sound Editing, Original Score, Original Song, and Visual Effects.
More importantly renowned Carnatic songstress Bombay Jayshree has been nominated for her contribution in the movie. Recently notable young icons of Kollywood took pride on the mention and congratulated her.
In praise of her achievement AR Rahman said “Congrats to Bombay Jayashree. First ever Academy Award nomination for a Tamil song,” the sensational Shreya Ghoshal says, “Bombay Jayashree gets Oscar nomination for ‘Life of Pi’ song!! Hearty Congrats!!!”
Actor Siddharth too was happy and mentioned in his microblogging site, “Bombay Jayshree at the Academy Awards! What an amazing honor for a great artist. India has Rahman to thank for all these honors.”We wish the team all the best and hope they win an Oscar this year too.
