Alex Pandian released at the theatres as a Pongal offering and ever since there has never been a dearth of audience for the Karthi starrer. Well all thanks to the movie’s producers who ensured that every nook and corner of the city was wrapped with stickers and banners featuring the actor all across the city.
However, the movie which was screened for 165 minutes will be now be trimmed by 15 minutes following repeated reviews by fans walking out after the first show suggesting the second half of film was dragging. They also mentioned the movie was a lengthy affair and could have been crispier. Following which the song Naalu Pakkam has been completely avoided and some other scenes too will be polished off in the newer version.
The producers hope the move will ensure they generate good business in the coming days. They have been successful in a way as fans are turning up in huge numbers for support.
But the numbers seem to be be dropping very rapidly following the word of mouth working to the films negativity, all of Sudden Santhanam-Power star starrer Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya seems to be pick of the film, and now more number of show are being added to KLTA at the Multiplexes.
A viewer commented, he expected Alex Pandian to be on lines of Thalaivaar(Rajini’s Alex Pandian Character in Moondru Mugam) in action but this film is like Telex Pandian(Vadivelu’s version of Alex Pandian).
