Thulasi Nair
Actress Thulasi, Youngest daughter of Radha, and younger sibling of Karthika (of Ko fame), is debuting soon as heroine with ace director Mani Ratnam’s Kadal which has debutant Gautham, son of actor Karthik as the hero. 15 year old Thulasi, has a matured head on her slender shoulders and would be appearing for her Class X Board exams this March.
She has completed the shoot of Kadal and is pairing up opposite Jiiva (Karthika’s recommendation?) in Yaan, being made by cinematographer RK Chandran.
Thulasi has recently spoken about her preferences in the film industry. No, the debutant hasn’t said anything about what sort of films she would love to do or the kind of directors she would like to get associated with in future.
During a recent brief chat with pressmen, Thulasi said, “I did some homework prior to start shooting for Kadal; in fact, I watched Alaigal Oivadhillai as many as 10 times to get a feeling of how to play a heroine in a film. I was simply amazed at the ‘on-screen chemistry’ between mom and Karthik Sir in the film. Among the present day heroes, I love watching Suriya and Vijay’s films!”
