Whoever said beauty and brains don’t mix in a woman often would have to eat back his words: meet Shruti Haasan, the pretty-faced, mightily-talented and multifaceted actress who is also in possession of a hourglass figure besides a flooring smile. To top it all, Shruti has the requisite amount of acting potential to become a front-line actress and the capacity to dub in her own voice in films. After failed debut ventures in Telugu and Hindi, the pretty lady is slowly evolving as an actress of substance, as witnessed in last year’s 3 (Tamil) and Gabbar Singh (Telugu).
She appears to have successfully come out of the tag of often referred to as the ‘eldest daughter’ of ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan. For a girl who can compose music, write lyrics and sing them with aplomb besides performing on-screen to the song, only the sky appears to be the limit.
Shruti appears to have a special liking towards writing poems at will and whenever she finds enough time to let her wings of imagination take flight. Many are passionate about writing poems but few can be as successful as Shruti in penning poems with prowess in both English and Tamil. The poems she has penned over the past many years have accumulated in huge numbers which she plans to bring out in the form of a book.
Separate issues would be brought out in Tamil and English comprising Shruti’s poems. These poems have covered wide-ranging issues such as society, romance, welfare, etc. The titles of both the Tamil and English versions and the date on which these books would be released are getting finalized and would soon be revealed, it is learnt.
