Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya
Actor-Director K. Bhagyaraj had previously complained to the Tamil Nadu Police demanding a halt in the release of Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya(KLTA). His grievance to the Commissioner stated that he owned the story and script rights for the 1981 film Indru Poi Nalai Vaa which was written and directed by himself and had a similar plot of three heroes trying to woo a heroine. Furthermore he demanded the falters a sum of Rs.2 crore for the losses suffered.
Coincidentally, Santhanam’s debut production Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya under home banner Handmade Films too had a similar theme. However, after much thought the two parties have agreed on a compromise on one condition.
Reportedly, the film will carry a worthy mention in its title sequence that will honor Bhagyaraj for his worthy contribution. In addition it will also mention the movies inspiration to be Indru Poi Naalai Vaa. Featuring Santhanam, Power Star Dr. Srinivasan, Vishakha Singh and Sethu in the lead roles,KLTA will be screened at a theatre near you across the state tomorrow onwards.
