Recently Kollywood voiced out in unison its viewpoint against the 12.36 per cent service tax imposed by the central government. While others gathered showing solidarity, Thala Ajith was away from the town at Vishnuvardhan’s untitled movie shooting outstation location . However, now that he is back he spoke his heart out on the recent changes when questioned on the issue.
Expressing his distaste on the issue Thala said “India could have been amongst the top 10 richest countries in the world but the corruption and its propagators in the nation will never allow so. Since our school times everyone tells us British took all the wealth from us, I am sure these so called ‘leaders’ have looted more than ever. Soon there will be a day when even the water and air around is taxed.
The rich are making more money and unfortunately they are sitting on top of the political ladder. Their pockets are full of wealth that they won’t take out for the good of the people instead they show more greed and want us to pay.” Well said Thala, we are already paying water bills. What will follow maybe worse as you mentioned.
All we can do now is pray to God to drive some sense into our leaders.
