Delhi recently witnessed a gang rape of a paramedical student this December 16. Certainly the unfortunate event has sent alarm bells ticking for the government that is rethinking on its ineffective security policies in the capital of the country. Public rage has aggravated into the capital being flooded by thousands in protest against the inhumanely act of gang rape against a young twenty three year old girl.
Following it the incident has sent ripples of fear across the nation. Recently, Chennai too witnessed voicing its support with an anti rape rally at Marina Beach for the victims of Delhi and Srivaigundam rape cases. However Kamal Haasan has something to say on the issue.
The actor has finally broken his silence on the incident at a recent press release. He says “The girl is my sister and the criminal my brother! Nevertheless I am ashamed. Like anyone else I support teeth to teeth response for the guilty. However killing the criminal with a prompt decision of death penalty will not bring a satisfying solution.”
However Kamal’s announcement of the rapist as his brother has not gone well with the protestors. Some of them retorted in unison “How can Kamal call him his brother, will he say that if the victim was a member of his family?”
Has Kamal has gone a little overboard with this, prior to the release of Vishwaroopam?
First of all u should think about INDIA, what we should call all the peoples in India, just like this " My Brothers and Sisters....", so in that form Kamal sir might say like this That My Brother raped My Sister.., that's why Kamal ashamed to call his brother...why don't u think like this, not like other ways ?????
