Director Vijayprasad a popular face in Kannada industry is upset that Divya Spandana who was initially offered the lead role in his movie has opted out of a forthcoming project at short notice.
Divya has a good following in Kollywood thanks to her roles in Pollathavan and Vaaranam Aayiram. Following which the director had appraoched her for the role of a sex worker. Moreover she has been part of Vijayprasad’s past releases such as Chitlikku and had gladly signed on the dotted line.
Interestingly a close source pointed out that Divya’s mom is currently campaigning for the Hebbal Assembly Constituency. It is her moms directions that the pretty daughter opted to stay away from getting into controversies.Divya’s late decision on the contrary,has made her low profile movie project gain unwanted hype midst her fans.
However, her unprofessional refusal to turn up at the first schedule was a blow to the director and his crew’s confidence. Following which the director is on the hunt of a new actress. He has also registered a comlpaint against her with a leading union in the state.
